NERS Career Fair

NERS 13th Career Fair Thursday and Friday October 29-30, 2009

The Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences Department at the University of Michigan will be hosting the 13th NERS Career Fair scheduled for Friday, 10/30/2009.  The Kick-off Seminar for this event will be on Thursday, 10/29/2009 afternoon. The speaker for the Kick-off Seminar will be will be announced at a later date.

Companies that have participated in the past include:  Aerotek Services, Air Force Research Lab, American Electric Power, Applied Materials, Areva, Argonne National Lab, Baltimore Gas and Electric, Bechtel Bettis, Bechtel Hanford, Bechtel National, Black & Veatch Corp, Brookhaven National Lab, Center for Naval Analyses, Constellation Energy, Cook Nuclear Plant,  Dominion, Dow Chemical, DTE, Duke Power, Electro Dynamic Applications, Eli Lilly & Company, Entergy, First Energy, General Electric, INEEL, Knolls Atomics Power Lab, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Los Alamos National Lab, Nuclear Management, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Oak Ridge National Lab, ONEL, On-Site, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, PECO Nuclear, Public Service Enterprise Group, Sandia National Lab, Schlumberger, Siemens Power Corp, USEC Inc., U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Westinghouse, Xoran Technologies.

This event is well attended by undergraduate and graduate students.  In addition, first year and undeclared sophomores from the College of Engineering are also invited.  The interaction between company representatives and students provides an opportunity to learn the qualities, skills and talents that they should possess to be hired, a networking contact, a change to ask questions, and to present a resume. If companies/laboratories would like to conduct interviews while on campus, arrangements will be made to accommodate this.

Please register your intent to participate in the NERS Career Fair as soon as possible at https://www.engin.umich.edu/form/nerscareerfair09_intent. You can find the official NERS Career Fair Registration form at https://www.engin.umich.edu/form/nerscareerfair09. The required registration form will need to be completed no later than October 26, 2009.
