Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities
Many scholarships and research grants are available only to undergraduates in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, these include:
First Year Students:Sophomores:
- American Nuclear Society Incoming Freshman Scholarship ($2000) -- http://ans.org/honors/scholarships
Sophmores, Juniors & Seniors:
- Second Year Merit Scholarships ($2,000)
- Kikuchi Scholarship for the outstanding sophomore ($3,000)
- National Academy for Nuclear Training Scholarships -$2,500 continuous yearly scholarship (4-year maximum)
- Department of Energy - $2,000 (renewable)
- American Nuclear Society (National) $2,000-$4,000
Juniors
- Department of Homeland Security (full tuition and monthly stipend - 2 year award -- http://www.orau.gov/dhsed/
Juniors & Seniors:
- American Nuclear Society (Michigan) $1000
- Health Physics Society $1,000
- Research opportunity grants to pay Juniors and Seniors performing research with faculty and graduate students in the department (Up to $1000/term)
